Refractory Capabilities

Since approximately 1990, LCI has routinely performed, taconite plant grate-kiln-cooler process scheduled Major outage and emergency refractory demolition and repairs at US Steel’s Minntac and Keetac Agglomerators. Refractory work is also completed at MP’s power plants. LCI refractory owns and operates gunnite and shotcrete application equipment, remote controlled Brokk and Husqvarna hydraulic hammer refractory removal equipment, and performs kiln brick installation. Foundry refractory work is also routinely performed.
