MN State Highway 53 Relocation Project

Due to a unique arrangement between local iron mines and the MN Dept of Transportation, the original roadway built in 1960 on Iron Mining Interests, included a requirement for relocation of the roadway allowing access to the ore below it.  Lakehead’s involvement included the installation of new utilities for the City of Virginia on the new Rouchleau Pit Bridge structure.
