AMSOIL – Plant Expansion and Relocation

In February, 2008 Lakehead Constructors completed an expansion and relocation of Amsoil’s synthetic oil production plant. The work scope included construction in the bulk storage building, rail spur loading and unloading building, additive/storage/blending building, and packaging building.

Project highlights included setting of over 80 storage tanks, many with capacities of over 50,000 gallons each. The work required installation of over 10,000 linear feet of piping and numerous pumps to increase the capacity of Amsoil’s plant in Superior, WI.
